Two-Tier Bamboo Steamer, Ø25.5 cm

Two-tier bamboo steamer, suitable for steaming vegetables, fish, dumplings, dim sum, rice dishes, and Asian recipes at home.

Traditionally, this type of pot is used in Chinese cuisine for steaming. It consists of two bamboo baskets placed one on top of the other, and a tightly fitting lid. The bottom of the baskets is made of woven bamboo strips, which allow steam to pass evenly through the food.

To use the bamboo steamer, place water in a pot, pan, or wok and bring it to a boil. Then place the steamer on top, add the ingredients to the baskets, and cover with the lid. The water should not touch the bottom of the bamboo pot.

It is recommended to place the parchment papers from the set on the bottom of the baskets to reduce food sticking.
